Micron Christmas Party
Every year Micron has a Kids Christmas party. We went last year just to see Santa. So we returned to see Santa again. She loved this display that was decoration in line. She could have watched Santa climb up and down that ladder all night and was quite mad when we had to walk away.

This was her reaction to the elf. They have the high school students dress up and entertain the kids in line. Mackenzie was not impressed.
I was expecting crying so I am happy with this face, it is much like the one above.
After Santa we had dinner. They serve a buffet fit for kids, mini corn dogs, oranges, olives, and tater tots!
There was a bounce house for toddles, in addition to the 8 they had for big kids. Mackenzie enjoyed it, I did not!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is Mackenzie the day before Thanksgiving. She is helping me make pie.
She is such a ham when she sees the camera!
On Thursday we went to Aunt Mary's house (Kevin's ex wife) Mary and her husband have a house in the middle of nowhere about five miles south of civilization (Boise). It is a nice home and it was very nice of her to invite us. As soon as we walked in she handed Robert the remote so he was happy to have is football. We got to update on the Knoell family. I got to see Jennifer (my cousin). She is in the process of moving out and is due early March. Saw pictures of Hank's (other cousin) two children. His son looks exactly like him! Mary brought out a toy that I think I played with! An old fisher price barn, and when you open the door it moos, I can't believe she still has that! We sat down to eat and Mackenzie actually ate a bit of everything, or it was on the floor hard to tell. I know that she loves the fruit salad. Sadly I brought my camera but didn't get it out until we were finishing dinner.
The next day Robert and I decided to cook our own bird so we could have some leftovers. Here is Mackenzie "helping". All she would eat is turkey. Hopefully this pickyness will fade away soon.

I have been teaching Mackenzie how to make the turkey noise for a month. And of course as soon as I go to take a video of it she won't do it. I made several attempts to catch her gobbling on camera. This attempt was too cute to delete and you can hear her gobbling as she is walking away at the end!

Happy Halloween!
Mackenzie got dressed up in her fairy costume (Thanks Grandma) and after Robert went to work we headed out to a few houses. I thought starting at 6 was normal but apparently not, the trick or treaters didn't show up to our door until 7!
Out we went and only made it to four houses (only got candy at two) She didn't really like going to the door but liked knocking. She also kept stopping to take the candy out of her bucket.

A trip to the pumpkin patch
The leaves have fallen off of the tree in our back yard and they are a beautiful shade of reddish purple. I took Mackenzie out their this morning to get some pictures. She was more interested in the dogs next door and their barking. After throwing some leaves up in the air I think I got some good pictures.

After nap we went to the pumpkin patch to get our Halloween pumpkin. First we got a short hay ride to the pumpkins. Mackenzie loved the ride. We saw turkeys on the way Robert said yum. Mackenzie didn't even notice them.
In the pumpkin patch she tried walking around but kept on tripping over the irrigation rows and I am sure the brown plants weren't comfortable to land on. Then my camera stopped working. It just froze. I guess the "new" batteries that I put in it on the way were not new at all. So unfortunately this is the only picture of the pumpkin patch. :( We also got her a small pumpkin to carry around and play. I think she had a lot of fun. This will definitely be something we make a yearly event.
