Big News!

Mackenzie would like to announce that she will have a partner in crime coming April 3rd.

Grandma's Visit Part 1

Mom arrived early in Boise! Mackenzie wasn't sure why we were bringing this crazy lady home with us but she soon warmed up to her. We had a nice night, went out to dinner, played on the wii. and called it a night. Mackenzie was not being a patient birthday girl and already got into her presents from Grandma and Aunt Amy. Thank you for the jersey Amy it is soo cute and just in time for football season.
This morning we went to storytime and introduced Grandma to our friends at the library.
Then it was lunch time.
and a quick ride on daddy's shoulders.
Looking foward to the rest of the week!

Patiently waiting for mom to visit.

Mackenzie and I are very anxious to have mom come visit. The house is clean and we are going grocery shopping tomorrow. In the meantime we have been having fun just hanging out together. Last week we went over to my friend Jen's apartment and met another friend Amy and her 6 month old son Joseph to go swimming. Mackenzie really enjoys the water and was not patient while we got ready to go in.
Lately I have been "going green". I am proud to say that our trash is greatly reduced because of our recycling and compost pile (yes I have successfully created dirt!). Robert and I even bought 2 additional tubs (because the city will only provide one) to put our recycling in, they are even made out of recycled material! At work Robert took the initiative to get a recycle bin put under their printer, isn't he sweet :) But I have yet to talk him into using cloth diapers, maybe someday.

I am officially a gardener!

This year I finally planted a garden. I planted squash, pumpkin, carrots, peas, tomatoes, watermelon, corn, strawberries, and cucumber. The last four haven't produced much yet but we have a lot of peas and squash. Hopefully we will have a couple of pumpkins for halloween. The squash plants are enormous and have taken over the entire area. I went out to grab a few zucchinis and I found the biggest one I have ever seen. Mackenzie is modeling it for me. :)
Needless to say zucchini has been a part of our meal every night!
