37 week check up

We went to the doctor today for my 37 week checkup. I am 1 1/2 to 2 centimeters dialated (woohoo). He said he thinks the baby is weighing about 6 lbs (woohoo) We talked to him about inducing at the end of March. For anyone who hasn't heard Robert was laid off from Micron last week. We knew it would eventually happen but we were hoping it wouldn't be until August. His insurance will then run out at the end of the month, I am on his insurance so that I am double covered right now. We told the doctor about this and that we would like to be in and out of the hospital while I am still double covered so we get that little bit of help on the bill. He doesn't have a problem with that at all. Then he started talking about when he worked at Micron in the 80's and about them doing layoffs during that recession which inspired him to become a doctor. He also told us that if there was anything he could do to let him know, he offered to cut some of his costs. We were both so stunned we didn't say much but thank you. Robert wants to go with me next week, now that we are over the shock and tell him "YES!" It just goes to show the kindness of people. I am sorry I haven't posted any pictures in awhile, I have not been good about taking any lately.

The school also had a baby shower for me this past week. We recieved lots of clothes and diapers! It was so nice of them. Mackenzie even got a few gifts, crayons and a book and a big sister t-shirt (the baby got a matching little brother t-shirt.)

It's a boy!

We had our ultrasound today and found out that the baby is a boy. We are all very excited!

It's a gummy bear!

Official due date is April 3rd. Robert is hoping for an April Fool's Baby! That would be a fun birthday.
