She's a climber.

helping out around the house

One day I was cleaning and I turned around and Mackenzie had picked up the broom and was sweeping for me. I just didn't realize how observant she is and how quickly she is picking things up. One day when we got home she went into my bedroom turned on the TV and managed to get the Baby Einstein video in the VCR and playing. She had a proud grin on her face as she sat down to watch it. All I have to do is tell her what we are going to do (eat, take a bath, change diaper, go in the car) and she knows exactly where to go and what our routine is.

Go Longhorns!!

Football season is here, is it wrong that I am already tired of watching it? Even though Robert isn't home on Saturdays to watch the longhorns Mackenzie will be rooting them on for him.

One Year Pictures Taken

This morning we headed out to the mall to visit Kiddie Kandids. Took a couple of family shots then let Mackenzie be the star. She was shy and the photographer asked if she was always so "serious" I was a little disappointed when our time ended and we didnt' get a shot with a big smile. She was more interested in crawling around where I was than sitting still for a stranger. I still think the pictures turned out good. You may be seeing some of these at Christmas time!
Look at the similarity between Robert and Mackenzie.
My friend brought this outfit back from Hawaii.

Sorry I can't get the pictures to work. I will have to share in person.

It's so fun to be ONE!

The birthday party ws tons of fun. Friends of ours, a few co-workers, and the neighbors came over. Robert bar-be-qued some dogs. Mackenzie opened her presents. The kids that came played Mario Kart. We all enjoyed some cake. After everyone went home we all took a nap! Then Grandma took Mackenzie swimming and we all went out to dinner at Ono, a Hawaiian Barbeque. It was a wonderful birthday all around for both of us. Thank you for all of the cards, calls and presents. We love you all!

Mary and Jennifer Knoell
opening presents, she got the hang of it and when she could see to toy inside she went for it. This is a see n say. I think I had a couple when I was little!

Singing happy birthday.

Grandma's Visit Part 2

On Tuesday we went shopping and out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (yum!) They gave Mackenzie a plate with bread and bananas.
We both took turns sitting next to her to have our picture taken.
When we got home we put together Mackenzie's new play kitchen, Happy Birthday! She had fun playing with it all day....and night.

On Wednesday we went to the Boise Zoo. The zoo is small and only took us about an hour to walk through and eat lunch.

This crane was talking to us.
Afterwards we playing in the park.
