Boo at the Zoo

Last Saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo. Our zoo is quite little compared to the Phoenix Zoo so we didn't see many real animals, we did see people dressed as animals but that was more exciting because they had candy. It was a cold and windy day, and of course the next day was beautiful out. Here is my little monkey just enjoying the ride. You can also see Mackenzie in the background sneaking a tootsie roll.Mackenzie did NOT want to sit on the hay, hence the blanket.
It's so hard to get a good shot of all of us.

The zoo has a giraffe slide that is actually the same size as a real giraffee. Mackenzie climbed up the ladder with all the other kids. I waited nervously on the other side. Then on the top two kids just pushed right by her. I had to shove the teacher in me away. She finally got to the front and took forever to sit down. For awhile she looked like she was going to go head first. But she finally let go and down she flew. She wanted to go again but that was enough stress for me for one day!

Afterwards we went to lunch and Mackenzie got her first cup of Hot Chocolate!

Swinging in the Park

Logan went on the swing for the first time!

Look carefully and you can see his two bottom teeth.
It's hard to catch Mackenzie in a swinging shot.
But I love this one.

pumpkin picking

Mackenzie pulled the wagon to the pumpkin field. She really did NOT like walking through the patch. Too dirty.
We got one decent family picture.
I got her to sit for a couple of pictures.
While Mackenzie didn't want anything to do with the dirt, Logan loved it. I tried to get her to hand a small pumpkin to Logan but she keep throwing them away.
He enjoyed playing wth the pumpkins, dirt, weeds, and all!

Here they are together in the wagon. Mackenzie didn't like this set up either. It just wasn't my day for pictures.
She wanted to pull the wagon back to the car but had a hard time. We got her to push it but then she fell and was upset that she got dirt on her new shoes.

Mackenzie's First Haricut

It is time to say goodbye to the mullet! Here is the before picture. She is just wondering what is going on.
During the cut. She was so good, she just sat there. The after shot. you can't see the back but it is just cut all the same length.

Six Months Old

I can't believe my baby is already six months old!! He is 17 lbs 7 oz and 27 in. long. He head is 17.72 inches! He has started eating solid foods and so far enjoys cereal, pears, sweet potatoes, avocados, and bananas. Mackenzie likes to help feed him but she goes too fast. He can sit up for about a minute before toppling over. He is really good about wiggling around on the floor to get what he wants and I think we may have an early crawler. We finally moved him to the crib and since then we have all gotton more sleep! Here is why the paper is all ripped and torn. :)

Five months old

Logan has two new teeth poking through on the bottom, along with two bumps for teeth to come. He is trying hard to sit up but mostly falls foward. He is still no where near sleeping through the night and I am working on kicking him out of my bed!
Mackenzie is doing great as a big sister.
look familiar?
