One month old

Ben is one month old!!  He is getting bigger, eating like a champ, and not sleeping more than 2 hours at a time at night.  

 Mackenzie and Logan wanted to get in some pictures too.

Grandma's visit

We had a very low key visit with Grandma this year.  We slept in, made pancakes, played legos, took naps, and filled my freezer with meals :).  But the one outing we did take was to have a picnic in the mountains.  We all loved seeing the leaves and playing in the forest.  We went for a walk and Logan and Mackenzie threw leaves off of a bridge into the creek.

 Mackenzie decided to collect leaves for "a fall leaf project."

 Ben just spent the afternoon sleeping.

 We found a cool, fuzzy caterpillar on the road.  They called him the very hungry caterpillar (we had just read that book the day before) and tried to give him leaves to eat.

 After lunch we threw the frisbee around.  Mackenzie has a pretty good throw!

First day of Kindergarten!

Mackenzie's 5th Birthday

For Mackenzie's birthday she wanted to get her ears pierced.  She didn't cry at ALL!  Just did a little jump when they poked the holes. She is even more excited to go back and get new earrings in six weeks.  After that we went for lunch at Chili's.  She wore a birthday girl crown all day so every server in Chili's stopped and made a big deal about her birthday.  She told them all, " I got my ears pierced today but I have to leave them in for six weeks, then I get to go back and get new earrings."  They brought us cake and sang to Mackenzie, she wasn't too sure about that part, but the cake was good!

That evening we opened presents.

 And had more cake and ice cream.  She didn't want anything fancy, just white icing, then her and Logan went nuts putting sprinkles on it.

 This was my birthday present-
So a great time was had by all!
